We asked for a specific spot as it was away from other. We were told the computer generated the spot. Of course we were out by a camper with two Pitt bulk mixes that he does not leash. Someone came in an hour later and got one of the spots we asked for. On the pets Our dogs are not fans and not enough room to play.

The other issue is that the pet policy is dogs on leashes. There is no one on the property to monitor so we had three dachshunds come towards us and a couple that let their German Shepherd cross into the grass to use the bathroom while they stand at the RV pic with truck in it. Also, watch where you step in the grass cause no one seems to pick up after the dogs. Also, trash bags are setting at the end of empty spots since this afternoon. It's obvious no one is coming around and checking, cleaning it monitoring the park.

Oh, the security and shuttle they mention, nowhere to be seen. It's a nice park and I would love to give more stars but someone needs to get a handle on the lose dogs. I don't feel comfortable walking my dogs with all these lose dogs. Date of stay: March Trip type: Traveled with family. Helpful Share.

Facilities are clean but not heated so very cold if you use them. Everything is well kept and functions as it should. There is no Wi-Fi although they will tell you there is when booking.

Check-in is at the hotel. No room to park for RVs by hotel entrance. This one has security and a shuttle. Date of stay: November Trip type: Traveled as a couple. Upon arriving there was 3 signs telling you to "Stop Here Front Desk Phone" stopping at the shower house.

There is a house phone telling you to call Hotel Front Desk Dial I tried and was on hold 12 min, then disconnected. Tried again and was put on hold. After 20 min, the cell phone was answered. During this time I'm standing outside in 95degree heat! Was told that I have to come to the lobby and check in before they will give me a lot. I had reserved a space and pd dep of 1 night, so they had all my info.

I referred to this and asked if we could get the lot , get parked and then come to the lobby. We are driving a RV and pulling a jeep. Was told no, would have to come in. So we unhooked the jeep and I drove over to check in. Didn't see anyone parking in parking area at Hollywood but there is a huge space across the road at Sam's Town Casino and there were several RV's parked there. We drove thru Sam's Town RV park and it is also a nice park. There is one pull-thru up by the bathrooms and that is the spot we got so we were able to use wifi.

Not sure how strong it is down where the other pull-thrus are. We ate at the lunch buffet, it was just ok. Lynlou Top Reviewer 3 reviews. Report this review Comments 0 Was this review helpful? March 28, I'll date this Late March July 10, This is a well done facility.

We stayed three nights in June Check in is at the front desk and must be done before occupying a space. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and advised us to get a players card which would get us 55 cent breakfast buffets and comps on campground. There is a special handicap area and both pull thru and back ins. A number of the back ins have a covered table area. We were in a 45' MH in a pull thru with plenty of room for the car also.

Homesteading is not allowed. Dbrown Top Reviewer 1 reviews. December 04, My wife and I found this RV location by luck back in August of I parked at the park but had to walk all the way inside the casino to the front dest to check in. I was givin a code for the door to enter the Casino from the side great for a late night walk.

The food choices sucked as the nice steak house was closed and we dont eat at buffets and the burger cafe food was just that. We could not find the steak house and had to ask security. Gambling sucked so we walked to the place next door and the whole walkway was covered and lighted, heck it was even a romantic walk as it was a warm August evening, ok getting off subject.

Anyways that was a better casino to gamble. Getting back to the RV Park it was well worth the few bucks and i am glad we found it. I think the economy has hit these casinos hard and that is why so many have changed there services, from free drinks at the bar to RV Parks being closed, to having to walk a mile to check in and not at the RV Office. No picnic tables at each site, but covered small pavilion scattered throughout the park.

You may want to pick a site that has a covered picnic table behind it. Tip for Other Campers:. Great location on quiet side of casino next to golf course. Super clean restrooms and showers with laundry. Some spaces are a few feet longer than others and have wider aisles, so do a walk thru to find the spot that fits you best before going in to Hotel Desk to register.

Concrete and asphalt slabs so you are not sitting in delta mud! Short walk to casino where the drinks and food is reasonably priceds. Good WiFi signal at spaces near shower building, did not stay at far end so cannot comment on WiFi at each space. Take a walk down the deserted road past the casino entrance and check out the cottonfields. Another plus is location is an easy commute drive to downtown Memphis for day trips.

Staff was superb, doesn't get any better than this! Tip for Other Campers: Grocery stores are not close, so buy before you arrive to save a trip and. This park continues to be a disappointment compared to what it was just a few years ago. The fact that there have only been about 10 RVs in this park the last few times we have stopped here indicates others feel the same way.

From the closed park office forcing you to check in at the hotel to the poorly maintained bathrooms, laundry, and garbage containers, this park has only the reasonable cost going for it. The sites are mostly FHU, back ins that are small and not level. The sites are satellite friendly so I haven't tried the cable TV. We lost the internet connection several times during our stay.

The bathrooms are inadequate for this park and were not clean. The small laundry cannot handle more than 2 customers. Typical of the area, there is no recycling. Clean sites, small grassy area for each site. Sites were actually comps, no charge instead of rooms. Daily trash pick up. Very clean restrooms. You could walk to the casino. Checking in is a challenge, the RV office no longer exists so you have to troop up to the hotel check in.

My site was fine, back in but easy to navigate. The trash was piled up everywhere, not good. We've been coming to this RV park for many years. This year was quite different. The RV park office no longer operates. You must park your RV in back of the casino and register at the hotel desk. Trash pickup was a problem everyday we were there for 8 days. Everyday we had to call the hotel to get someone to pick it up. The park was far from full, but each site leaves their trash out, so all those trash bags baking in the sun for hours wasn't good.

The fields surrounding the area were being plowed and the dust was so thick, it left all the vehicles in the area with a thick layer of the stuff, and we couldn't sit outside without being covered with dust because of the wind. This went on for the majority of our 8 day stay. The sewer dump on our site clogged. When we called to report it, we were told we had to move to another site to dump.

We were able to dump enough to keep from having to move off the site. Pulling out on our last day, we went to the main sewer dump by the gate. To our dismay, this dump was clogged as well. We had already hooked up our vehicle, so we maneuvered our RV very close to an empty site, connected two sewer hoses and ran this to a working sewer dump.

So very disappointed in what used to be one of my favorite RV parks! I must say, however the sites are spacious and level and very clean. The wi-fi, cable, and satellite reception was very good, as was the 50 amp and water. Check your sewer before setting up!!!

Pull around the back of the casino to park while checking in, or if you arrive early or late in the evening. There's plenty of room back there. There's no grilling at your site, but there are plenty of paved gazebos with picnic tables and grills very near the sites.

You will have full access to the indoor pool and gym, and the casino during your stay. Ask for pool access card when checking in. Will have to think about our trip next year Was told we had to move to a different site to dump. Tip for Other Campers: The casino itself was disappointing with no roulette during the week. The casino floor was never really full, which explained why the winnings were few.

The buffet hours are shorter than I remember as well. It was a little difficult to figure out how to get into the RV park. It is behind the right side of the hotel. We parked at the RV park and then went in the hotel to register for parking even though we already had reservations. They told us we needed to pick out a spot and come back and pay. There were not many pull throughs and those were all taken even though the park was not busy. The park was clean the utilities worked fine and, depending on which site you choose, it was a pleasant stay.

There is nothing else to do in the area and a bit out-of-the-way if you were just passing through. Customer service is horrible. Have to go to hotel desk to register. Made a handicap space reservation with credit card but they did not hold our spot. Told us first come first serve. We asked for a non-handicap vacant spot but they said it was reserved by another customer.

We were given different stories by different staff of why this happened. We feel like we are being discriminated against. Grounds very well maintained. Full hookups and wi fi was very good. Only negative was having to register at the hotel as no one was ever in the campground office.

We have stayed here several times to visit family. The park is beginning to be a little run down. There is no one on site to check you in. When I made my reservation I asked if I needed to go into the hotel like last time. She said to call the same number and someone would come escort us to our site.

We did just that and after waiting 15 minutes on the phone, I was told to go pick out a site, call her back, and she would send security to unlock the electric box that is new. Apparently they had people just stopping in, hooking up, spending the night, and leaving. Since their is no one watching, they began locking up the electric boxes. It seems like it would be a lot less trouble if they gave you a tag for your windshield. After the third day, we got some new neighbors who asked us when the office was delivering drinking water.

We didn't know what they were talking about. She said when they checked in, they were told not to drink the water due to a boil water alert and the office would be delivering water to drink. That would have been nice to know. No one delivered water. When she went back to the office they handed her 2 bottles of water. The park is nice and level, with good utilities other than the water issue which is not their fault. And then there is the issue over what they charge.

When I asked about that, I was told it would be corrected when I check out, and it was. We bypassed Tunica because of area high water warnings at the the beginning of the May. We are spending 2 nights one here and one across the road on our way back north.

Once again, there were only about 20 RVs in the park. The sites are small, not level, and have no table. Most of them are back-ins with poor utility placement. There is decent cable TV, but unreliable Wi-Fi. The office has not been manned the past few times we have been here in recent years. This means you have to check in at the hotel front desk. This is a logistical nightmare for RVers. This also means that the bathrooms and laundry are not well maintained.

As is typical of the area, there is NO recycling. There is nothing recreational in the RV park but you can use the casino hotel pool. Once again, the cost is the only good thing about this park. The RV park office is still unmanned and it is still a hassle to check in at the hotel. The hotel check in staff is clueless about RVs and the sites in the park.

Except for one pull through row in the back of the park, all the sites are back in. These site pads are cement and the roads and most of the rest of the park is asphalt. My site and most of the ones I saw was not level and would have been very tight to back into if there had been RVs and toads on each side.

HARRAHS CASINO IN LAKE CHARLES

Room was in "B" Tower and nice and clean. Breakfast Buffet was good - lady server was a great ambassador for Hollywood. Valet service virtually non-existent - waste of time using - attendant was serving both Casino and Hotel entrance - took forever and eventually had to get to Reception to find someone.

Did not bother to use after initial check-in. Other than Valet, overall our stay at Hollywood was pretty good - would come again. Room was clean, beds were great, t-v was nice. Bathroom were clean and had everything We've been coming to this RV park for many years.

This hotel had decent reviews so I decided to try it. No issues with check in and my room was spacious and clean. It was a non-smoking room, but like most casinos, smoke permeated everything There were 3 dining options in the hotel. The bed was comfortable. So why won't I be back? When I went to the desk to check out the desk clerk told me she had already signed out of the system so she couldn't give me a receipt.

When I told her I had to have a receipt to be reimbursed by my employer she then said they didn't give receipts for online reservations. I won't make this mistake again. We booked this hotel strictly based on location and price, both met our needs for a weekend Birthday celebration and there was the added entertainment of the casino floor as well! We were all blown away on how nice the property was, it was clean, the staff was very friendly and we had a great stay here!
